Napoleon Prestige II PT450RBI Infra-Red Gas Grill

I have had the Napoleon Prestige II for a year as I needed to replace my lower quality Char-Broil. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend this much money on a new gas grill but I read some good reviews on this model and wanted to try out the infrared grilling. I’m very glad I did. Another thing I like is the stainless steel construction because this thing is built to last. I don’t think I will be replacing it in a couple years like the last few grills I owned.

As for the grilling performance, the IR burner does an excellent job with steaks. I like to sear them for around 90 seconds per side and then move to the other burners on the grill. If you haven’t used a barbecue grill like this before it will take a little getting used to, but the results are well worth it. The meat turns out just how I like it.

Before I bought the Napoleon I looked at Weber gas grills but I just didn’t think they were built with quality parts like this. Some were built with Chinese parts from what I could tell and the ones built here in the USA were a little out of my budget. It came down to the good deal I found online on the Prestige II.

The only thing I don’t like about it is the price but you get what you pay for. If you are really into grilling then you need to buy a grill that will get the job done. My Napoleon does just that. I’d buy it again.
