As soon as I took the Napoleon Prestige I out of the box I knew that buying it was the right decision. The reason was the heavy duty steel used on it. As far as grills go this is one of the sturdiest I have used. With the price of it, consider it an investment into your home instead of just another barbecue grill.

I initially thought about buying their Mirage grill because of the few extra features like stainless steel grates and lighted burner knobs but found out the Mirage is made in China unlike the Prestige which comes from Canada. The difference is the steel used and the Prestige has much higher grade so I decided to go with that. It really came down to a choice of a few extra features or a more solidly built grill, I chose the latter.

When I first grilled up a steak I couldn't believe the flavor. I think the porcelain iron grates help retain heat better than stainless steel but I'm not sure. I only know that the results were good. The design must be such that the heat is spread out evenly across the grilling surface. Props to Napoleon for building such a nice grill. Yeah I know it is somewhat expensive but really you have to pay more for the best, and that is what the Prestige I is. One of the best grills you can buy for your home, period.
