Meco 9325 Deluxe Electric Cart Grills

Good electric grill but one thing could be improved

Rating:

By Barry Blackwell

We bought the Meco Deluxe electric cart barbecue grill for the balcony in our condo since we were not allowed to use gas. After reading several reviews on a bunch of electric grills the Meco seemed to jump out. The ratings were pretty high and I liked what people had to say about the way it grilled the food.

The entire summer was spent grilling out with it and we're pretty happy with it. The food tastes great and it doesn't take up very much space. That was the thing we were worried about when buying a new grill since we don't have much room on the balcony. The flaps on the side fold and can store your various tools and such. It also heats up pretty quickly which was nice. I wasn't sure what to expect with an electric grill but the performance was just right.

Cleaning it isn't too bad. You have to take out the metal rack and rinse it off. I try to do this quickly after grilling so it's easy to get everything off. I find that if I don't do this the residue builds up and you'll get some smoke and stuff. Just try to keep it clean to avoid these problems.

One thing I don't care for is the design of the drip tray. It's a thin piece of aluminum that is difficult to wedge in there. It takes some care to get it in there without trashing it. They should provide more room for it and maybe use a thicker material on the pan.

I still recommend the Meco Deluxe electric cart but I have to dock it one star on the rating for this issue. If they can address the drip tray I'd definitely give it five stars. However, I would buy another because for what we needed it is the best grill.
