George Foreman GRP4 Evolve Electric Grills

Mainly positive experience with the Evolve

Rating:

By Terry Reinbold

I purchased the George Foreman Evolve electric grill a few months ago and have used it quite a few times. So far it has grilled perfectly for our small family of only three people. I actually like it better than my conventional oven most times since it heats up faster and doesn't use as much energy. As far as electric grills go it seems to have a decent amount of grilling space. I think if you had a large family you might want a bigger one though.

The first thing I really liked about it was the nonstick surface as it is very simple to clean up. This is much better than my outdoor gas grill which I have to scrape when I'm done. Also the temperature control and timer are a big plus. This seems to be a relatively new feature but I like the way it works. The surface is also tiltable for when you are cooking things like steaks or other types of food that shouldn't have runoff. Overall the design is great which is really why Foreman grills are so popular.

One thing I really don't like is the length of the power cord. It is just too short which causes me to position the Evolve under my cabinets. I'd rather move it further out but am forced to leave it close to the wall. I think they should really give an extra couple feet to you so you have more flexibility on where you are grilling.

I give it a 4 star rating simply because the electric cord length annoys me. I LOVE everything else about the Foreman Evolve and find that we use it more than our regular oven.
