Sturdy barbecue grill that delivers every time I fire it up

If there is one thing our family likes to do it’s BBQ our food on a warm summer night. Our new Weber Genesis S-320 is our gas grill of choice for many reasons. When you compare it to the cheaply built Char-Broil that I used to own it becomes quite evident that there really is no comparison.

The first thing you will notice is just how sturdy the S320 propane grill actually is. It is a solid, stainless steel unit that honestly is one of the best looking grills I have ever seen. Assembly actually wasn’t too bad as I only needed a couple of basic hand tools. When grilling you will also notice just how much heat the Genesis retains, which results in great searing of the meat. This thing really stays hot when you need it.

The overall cooking performance is great. While the burner BTU rating is lower than some of the other gas grills in its’ class, those other units don’t heat as evenly as this one. The entire grilling surface is heated to the right temperature and we haven’t found the telltale hot and cold spots of our previous propane grills.

The only problem that I experienced with the Weber S-320 doesn’t actually deal with the grill, but rather the shipping. For whatever reason the shipper seemed to drop the rather heavy package in my driveway which resulted in some scratches on the hood. Not a huge deal but since the grill is so heavy I didn’t want to return it. I polished them to where they are mostly gone but you can still see if you look closely enough. However, the grilling performance has not suffered at all.

All in all I would recommend these grills to anyone who wants a unit that will last for a LONG time, and grill your food to perfection. I have become a big Weber fan and am sorry I didn’t buy one sooner. Glad I finally took the leap of faith.

Awesome grill for everyday cooking

I recently sold my other very expensive gas grill and replaced it with a Weber Performer charcoal unit as I just couldn’t go any longer without the smell and barbecue taste of charcoal. I grew up with these types of grills so I was anxious to get back to grilling with one.

Grilling our favorite family BBQ on this Weber is an absolute joy. Filling the two included charcoal baskets is simple and they fit back into the Performer very nicely. Lighting of the coals is an easy task and it only takes around 15 minutes to get them up to optimum grilling temperature. Pressing the igniter is much easier than the older style of grills we were used to growing up, plus it is much safer.

As expected, the meat comes out seared nicely and I really have good control over the entire grilling process. Flare-ups are almost non existant which results in a consistent flavor throughout the entire meal. And when you look the grill over you quickly notice just how much quality is in it. For a relatively inexpensive unit, Weber really put some thought into this one. Cleanup is also easy which is always something you think about when you opt for charcoal over gas or propane.

All in all this has been one of the best grills we have owned and one that gets a lot of use for our family. We recommend it to anyone who likes the traditional flavor of charcoal.

Awesome grill for everyday cooking

The grill surface on the Weber Q 100 portable gas grill is quite large as it can cook six decent sized burgers with room to spare. While there is enough grilling room for a full sized chicken the lid won’t quite allow it. Being as it is a smaller BTU grill than some of the other grills you can find, I was a little weary of how it would perform but this unit heats up to temperature just fine. It will leave the telltale sear marks on any meat that you put on it which will appeal to any barbecue lover. A good thing about the smaller burner is it will use less fuel which can save you money every time you use it.

While I haven’t found anything major wrong with this Weber, I have experienced a couple of minor things. For starters, the support ring that holds the portable propane tank only will hold the smaller 14 oz. bottles and these are a bit more expensive than the 16 oz. size used for camping trips. I’m sure there is an adaptor but it is just an annoyance. One other thing I noticed is that during a high wind the grill tends to move around. This isn’t a big problem because how many people will barbeque their dinner during a wind storm but I felt I should mention it. The other full sized grills I had never moved as much but they were also bigger and not portable so it is understandable.

Finally I really love this gas grill. It’s not as big as a full sized unit which means you can move it around and it costs much less than those bigger and more cumbersome grills. I would recommend this Weber to anyone looking for something that won’t break the bank but still grills up your BBQ just the way you like it.

Awesome grill at an even better price!

I had originally planned on buying a larger Weber Summit but decided to give the smaller and more portable Q320 a try to save some money. When I found the Q at almost $500 cheaper the decision was a no brainer, and I’m glad I made it. Plus I bought it at amazon.com and they gave me $.01 shipping and I had the grill in 2 days. This was much more convenient than shopping for barbecue grills at my local home improvement store.

Even though this propane grill is not huge by any means it does heat faster and cook better than the other larger grills I have had in the past. This thing sears steaks and hamburgers to perfection, and also roasts chicken beautifully when I reduce the heat on the burners. Add the fact that it is indeed portable and this is a winner in my book. I didn’t even break a sweat putting it together either, and that is saying something!

If you are looking for a high quality barbeque grill for your home, and one that you can take with you if needed, you seriously need to consider the Weber Q 320. It is not expensive for what you get, is not overly bulky and difficult to store, and is very easy for anybody to use. Grilling around our house has just gotten a whole lot better with this latest purchase from Weber. We love it.

This is the best grill I have ever owned!

Our family grills out almost every nite during the summer months, and even a little during the winter. Because of this our barbecue gas grills tend to wear out faster than most people. This is also due in part to us buying an inferior, less expensive grill every few years. This time I decided to buy a more expensive and better built grill so I looked into Weber. I looked over their lineup and fell in love with the big, stainless steel Genesis. I loved the additional grilling space, more BTU’s, and quality of construction.

From reading other reviews and looking at consumer reports it was evident that Weber was the brand to get. People continually rave about the even heating, ease of use, durable construction, and no flareups. I can say after using the Genesis S-310 that this is an accurate description. I can’t believe how much better this grill works than my previous CharBroil. This is no knock on that gas grill. It worked ok for the money that I spent on it, but it really cannot compare to this bigger Weber.

Also after looking at the consumer reports and reading the negatives on many of the units you can find at your local home improvement store, I decided to go visit to see if it was true. I could immediately see from comparing them to my Weber that they use cheaper plastic pieces where the Genesis is stainless or aluminum. The doors are not as solid as the Weber either. I left there with a piece of mind that indeed I did spend my money wisely. If you are thinking about buying the Weber Genesis then you will not be disappointed. Sure it’s more than other grills but gives you much more as well.
