I bought the Masterbuilt Veranda propane gas grill for our small patio in our condo and it has been great. I don’t recommend it for a larger family though, but I don’t think it was designed for that. It just doesn’t have the grilling space that they might need. For a couple or family of say 3 people it is an excellent choice. It is very well built and quite sturdy which surprised me. These grills even come with the necessary adapter for the larger 20 lbs. gas tanks. Most of the other barbecue grills that were this size forced you to buy the adapter separately.
The only issue that we had is in relation to the photo of it on amazon which showed some small wooden shelves on the sides. When our Veranda arrived it did not have any shelves and this was a little disappointing. Shelves would be nice so you had some place to put the food or other items when you are cooking. Maybe the photo is a different model or something.
That really wasn’t a big deal for us though and it is a great alternative to the larger propane grills. We just don’t have room for them on our patio and this Masterbuilt is great. It even came with a durable cover for when the grill is not being used. It’s a great gas grill and one that I would buy again if this one becomes worn out, though I don’t think that would happen for many years.

I bought the Masterbuilt Smokehouse electric smoker a couple of months ago and have been pretty happy with my results so far. The smoker seems to hold the temperature quite well, even when the weather outside is very cold. I had no problem keeping it to 225 degrees during the winter which is great in my opinion.
The electronic timer and temperature control are built right into the unit and work great. The wood also lasts for a long time as I’ve been able to let the chips go for a couple of hours without replacing them. This is another aspect that I like more than the prior smokers that I have used over the years. Also, the side chute provides easy access to the chips meaning you don’t even have to open it up to replace them. This is a good idea and a big reason why I went with the Masterbuilt.
One problem that I experienced was the side latch broke after one of the pop rivets came loose. The smoker is still usable but I have to be careful when closing it until I can get it fixed. The design of the latch doesn’t lend itself to a lot of use so I would recommend going easy on it. Other than this shortcoming, I think this electric smoker is a great value. I was not a beginner but if you are you still won’t have trouble learning the ins and outs of smoking your barbecue meal like a pro. It really just takes some practice, like anything else.
If it wasn’t for the latch problem I would give the Masterbuilt a perfect score but I have to deduce 1 for this problem. I still recommend it though and would buy another given the opportunity.
